For over 25 years, our home base has been in Fort Collins, Colorado. But as our work in New Mexico grows, we’ve been reminded of the power of simply being there. And being there can mean so much – it’s knowing the landscapes, it’s knowing the people, and it’s investing in close relationships with both.   

In July, TWP opened a second office in Santa Fe, New Mexico, grounding the expansion of our work in the region. Several members of our staff are from nearby Tribal communities, and a local office space is part of taking care of our people –  even as we live 7 hours from one another – and continuing to build the collaborations that define our work.

As part of the office opening, we invited neighbors to meet us, see the space, and learn more about TWP’s efforts in New Mexico. Like our base in Fort Collins, the Sante Fe office will always have an open door. It exists to house, above all, relationships – with neighbors, with donors, with each other, and ultimately, with the communities we support. 

As our organization grows and our reach expands, we’re keeping sight of our foundations; we’ve learned a broader canopy is best supported by strong roots.
