Turn Your Donor-Advised Fund into Lasting Impact

Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are one of the most powerful tools for charitable giving.

The 2025 Annual DAF Report recently showed that the amount of money in DAFs increased by 30% last year, reaching $326 billion in 2024. At this rate, the amount in DAFs by the end of 2025 will be over $430 billion.

Donors have put more money into DAFs in 2024 than in any other of the past five years, but it’s equally vital that these funds are disbursed to impactful causes.

If you or your family have a DAF, consider making annual giving from it an intentional practice. Setting aside regular times to come together and recommend grants can be a meaningful way to align your values, engage the next generation, and ensure your philanthropy reflects what matters most to you.

Also, always remember to name charitable beneficiaries who will receive the remaining balance of your DAF at the end of your life, ensuring your impact continues well into the future.

At Trees, Water & People, we see firsthand how timely DAF grants translate into healthier landscapes and stronger livelihoods for communities who need them most.
