Projects have timelines and inevitably end – people’s lives go on. 

There is no easy way to mark when someone’s livelihood goals have been fulfilled, or when a watershed is free from harm, or when a family has enough healthy food to eat, or are liberated from endemic poverty. TWP exists to drive lasting change that lifts people up, so they can steward natural resources for generations to come.

That’s why our focus for the next 25 years will be on people over projects. Because when we invest in people, help them acquire new skills, build trust-based relationships, and give them the resources to create change… the impact will follow.

That’s what works - and we can only do that with long-term thinking.

  • When we commit to working with a partner organization, we take on their priorities as our own. Our role is to listen first, then help plan, strategize, connect, and fund the work that will achieve those priorities.

  • Your donation goes to funding the teams getting the work done, the tools they need for the job, and the ongoing follow-up visits, trust-building, and evaluation that determines how well we did.

  • Your donations allow us to honor our commitments in the places we work. We bring crucial resources to the table that allow us to create jobs, develop young professionals, protect cultural heritage, put women in leadership roles, and care for the environment.
