If you live in Fort Collins or the northern Colorado area, TWP has many volunteer opportunities. In the spring and the fall we plant native trees and shrubs at our three Outdoor Classrooms and at other sites in and around Fort Collins. Our volunteers range in age from kids to senior citizens, and have included in the past Cub Scout troops, church groups, student groups, service club members, and other people and families from the community. See the Environmental Education page for more information about TWP's local community resource protection activities. If you can't make it to any of our planting events, you or your group can volunteer to "Adopt an Outdoor Classroom." We are looking for volunteers to take care of our four Outdoor Classrooms in much the same way groups volunteer to adopt a trail or roadway. The City of Fort Collins Utilities department will place signs at each Outdoor Classroom with the name of the group, individual, or family who had adopted the classroom. Please contact Elizabeth Mozer at TWP for more information on how you can volunteer. You can always call us at 970-484-3678, too. On-going volunteer needs Internships |
