Trees, Water & People Give to TWP

Thanks for supporting "Renew the Rockies"

A big thank-you to all the people who attended "Renew the Rockies" on March 8. Over 300 people attended, and between our attendees and sponsors we were able to raise $30,000 for our local renewable energy education efforts, including our partnership with Bethke Elementary School to install a 10kW solar photovoltaic system at the school.

The evening was full of fun casino-style gambling, free beer from Odell, over 150 silent auction items, and a fantastic live auction overseen by our favorite auctioneer, Bill Seaworth. We were proud to present our first "Renewable Energy Leadership Award" to Governor Bill Ritter and to the City of Fort Collins. Accepting on behalf of Gov. Ritter was Tom Plant, the Executive Director of the Colorado Energy Office. Mayor Doug Hutchinson accepted the award on behalf of the City of Fort Collins.

The evening ended up with a fantastic set from The Atoll that had the crowd up on its feet and groovin'. If you couldn't make it this year, we hope to see you next year. It's always a GREAT time and a great cause to support!
